Skate Canada Competition Scoring System Update
Skate Canada acknowledges that despite our best efforts, the recently released version of the Competition Scoring System (“New CSS”) has caused disruption to several competitions this season.
Despite working tirelessly to eliminate the issues with scoring experienced, we have concluded that continued use of New CSS is likely to result in an unacceptable level of disruption to Sectional events for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
We sincerely apologize to the athletes, parents and guardians, coaches, officials, local organizing committees, and all others who were negatively impacted. This is not the level of service that we want to deliver to you, and we will take the necessary steps to provide you with a best in class scoring system in the future.
As an interim solution, we are reverting to the former version of the computer scoring system 2022-2023. This system has been updated to reflect the 2023-2024 technical requirements and will allow for the orderly running of competitions.
