2026 - 2027 Section Teams
Elite Team
- Junior & Senior Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes finishing in the top half at the Canadian National Skating Championships.
- Novice Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes finishing in the top three at the Skate Canada Trophy.
- Junior & Senior Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes who receive a bye through the Skate Canada Challenge due to International Assignment.
*Elite Team selection is on a one-year term basis, based on results at the Canadian National Skating Championships and the Skate Canada Trophy.
Select Team
- Junior & Senior Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes qualifying for the Skate Canada Challenge.
- Pre-Novice & Novice Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes qualifying for the Skate Canada Trophy.
*Select Team selection is on a one-year term basis, based on results at the Skate AB|NT|NU Sectional Championships
Development Team
- Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, and Pre-Novice Singles, Pairs, and Ice Dance athletes who meet the Development Team Criteria. Development Team selection criteria are reviewed annually and posted on the Skate AB|NT|NU website.
*Development Team selection is on a one-year term basis, based on results at the Skate AB|NT|NU Sectional Championships.
Section Synchro Team
- Junior & Senior teams qualifying for the Canadian National Skating Championships
- Novice teams qualifying for the Skate Canada Cup
*Section Synchro Team selection is on a one-year term basis, based on results of the Section and/or Skate Canada monitoring (Junior/Senior), or the Mountain Regional Championships (Novice).
