David Myers
ExecutiveDirector
Dave brings extensive leadership experience in the Alberta sport community, having served 17 years as Executive Director of Ringette Alberta, following earlier roles with the Edmonton Sport Council, Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, and Hockey Alberta.
A graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education in Sport Administration, Dave is known as a people-first leader with strong analytical thinking and business acumen. His experience also spans the real estate technology and fund development sectors, reinforcing his commitment to collaboration and organizational excellence.
Throughout his career, Dave has led major governance modernization projects, strategic plans, and participant growth initiatives. He is excited to work alongside the talented staff, volunteers, officials, coaches, clubs, and skating schools across the Section as we continue building a culture of trust, transparency, and shared purpose.
Jennifer Boone

Kelly is a graduate of Mount Royal University with a diploma in Recreation and Sport Administration. Kelly was a competitive ice dancer at the national level and she joined the Section office in 2003. She provides assistance to clubs in the following areas:
- Membership and registration support
- Club policies and procedures
- Reviews club by-laws
- Assists with dispute resolution for clubs and members
Michelle Currie
Pathways Technical AdvisorMichelle brings over 25 years of experience as a coach, technical specialist, team leader and athlete representative - a combination that makes her uniquely suited to help strengthen our Section's Star and Podium athlete development pathways.
Michelle will work closely with Lisa Bonderove to advance the Section's athlete and coach development initiatives. Their roles are highly complementary within Skate AB | NT | NU's Long-Term Development (LTD) framework, as Lisa provides strategic and developmental opportunities for athletes, while Michelle brings technical expertise and leadership in program delivery to ensure that strategies are executed effectively and consistently across the Section. Together, they form a vital partnershp connecting the planning implementation and evaluation of the Section's athlete pathway initiatives, ensuring programs are technically sound, athlete-centred and aligned with national standards.
As Pathway Technical Advisor, Michelle will collaborate closely with coaches, officials and the Sport Development team to implement the Section's high-performance strategy and align programming with Skate Canada's LTD framework. She will play a key role in identifying tracking and developing athles and coaches within the Star and Podium Pathway while supporting multisport games preparation and performance planning.
Lisa Bonderove

Lisa is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration. She is a National Certified Coach, and a former National Synchronized Skating Team Member.
Since joining the Section office in April 2008, she has brought her deep passion for skating and athlete development to every aspect of her work. As Pathways and Development Manager, Lisa leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of athlete programming aligned with Skate Canada's Long-Term Development (LTD) framework — Learn to Train, Train to Win, Active for Life.
Lisa oversees development camps, seminars, and national event support, ensuring programs are athlete-centered, consistent, and built to help skaters and coaches thrive at every stage of their journey.

- NCCP Course Administrator for all coach courses
- Coach communications and support
- Provides assistance and clarification to clubs in regards to coaching certification requirements for each program
- Provides coordination support for seminars, workshops, competitions and events
- Provides assistance in administering the various awards programs
- Manages, coordinates and provides support for the three main championship competitions in the section
- Coordinates and manages the implementation of the Leading Edge Series
- Is the staff support role to the Section Competition Committee
- Provides support, advice, and tools/templates to Local Organizing Committees in hosting competitions in the Section
Leona Boyle
Coordinator,Skating Programs & Adminstration
Leona has been involved in the sport of figure skating her entire life, as a Skater, Coach, Section Board Member, Learning Facilitator and a Star 1-4 Judge. She works part time in the office as the Administrative Coordinator. Her knowledge of the sport provides assistance to the other section office staff.
- Processes and provides support for competition sanctions
- Manages the central registration for competitions and events on Uplifter

Tammy Peters
Coordinator,Finance
Tammy brings extensive experience in accounting, payroll administration, and nonprofit financial management. Her background in implementing online bookkeeping solutions, overseeing monthly reconciliations, and supporting audits aligns perfectly with the Section’s priorities to modernize our financial systems and ensure transparent, efficient reporting. Tammy’s strong attention to detail and collaborative approach will be a great fit within our team culture. Although Tammy does not have a figure skating background she is already learning quickly as we process expenses from various events and registrations!
In her role, Tammy will support all aspects of the Section’s accounting cycle including quarter end reporting, pay and benefits administration, budgeting support, and transition to a cloud-based finance solution. She’ll be working closely with the Executive Director, and the Co-Chairs of the Finance and Risk Management Committee to ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial processes.
Donella Swan
Coordinator, Member Services & Volunteer EngagementDonella brings an outstanding mix of professional experience, a positive and open approach to communication and Club and Coach insight that will be a tremendous asset to our team and the Club and Skating School Communities. Also responsible for volunteer engagement she will be working with all team members to ensure the needs of each of your volunteer groups are met.
Donella comes to us with an extensive background in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit program delivery. She has worked with organizations such as the Calgary Board of Education, UFA, and Benevity; always focused on connection, collaboration, and results.
Also, a lifelong member of the skating community as a skater, coach, parent, and club board advisor Donella brings not just professional strength, but a personal passion for all Skate Canada programs. Her work has consistently centered around supporting leadership teams, navigating complex challenges, and helping clubs and volunteers thrive. Please join me in welcoming Donella to the team! Donella will be based in Calgary and working remotely.

JaeLyn Robinson
Coordinator, Coach & Officials DevelopmentJaeLyn brings an exceptional combination of hands-on coaching experience, technical knowledge, and administrative skill. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree with Distinction (Sport Performance) from the University of Alberta, is a Certified National Figure Skating Coach, and a CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Over the past 25 years, she has worked extensively in the sport including coaching across the Podium and STAR Pathways, leading CanSkate, AdultSkate and Power Skate programs, and supporting athletes with disabilities. She has also served as a Technical Specialist and developed numerous skaters who went on to become provincial medalists and national-level competitors.
In this role, JaeLyn will oversee coordination of coach and officials development across the Section - supporting NCCP training, clinics, and promotion processes, while supporting both the Officials and Coaching Committees. JaeLyn will be working on ensuring consistency and alignment with Skate Canada’s national standards.

Kaetlyn Osmond
Coordinator,Communications
Known to everyone, Kaetlyn Osmond joins us officially as a part time employee, following six months of outstanding contribution in a project-based capacity.
Now a part-time member of the team, Kaetlyn leads the tactical delivery of digital communications across the Section’s platforms, including social media, presentations, website strategy, and In the Loop. Drawing on her ongoing post-secondary studies and her strong background in the technical and operational sides of figure skating, Kaetlyn combines creativity with attention to detail in managing the Section’s digital presence.
Her collaborative spirit, reliability, and fresh ideas make her an invaluable member of the team as she continues to strengthen engagement within Alberta, NWT and Nunavut!
