Skate Canada Roadshow

This is an opportunity for representatives and coaches of Clubs and Skating Schools in Central/Northern Alberta to attend an in-person seminar with Josee Bourdon, Skate Canada Senior Manager of Coaching.

Please note: Josee will be back in January to meet with Calgary and South Region Clubs.
We will be accepting applications of interest until Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from Clubs/Schools in Central, Edmonton, NE, NW, NWT & Peace Regions who have skaters at Star 4 or higher (Star pathway) or are within (or entering) the Podium Pathway.
This in-person seminar will last 3 – 4 hours, up to five representatives from a Club will be invited (to a maximum of five Clubs), and Josee will be covering the following topics:
- An in-depth discussion of Skate Canada’s Long Term Development (LTD) Model
- Effective use of LTD resources to assist in Coaching, Club Programming & Information packages
- Safe Sport & More – What is Safe Sport & how to report it?
- Rule of Two
- Skate Canada Body Positive Guidelines
