Special Olympics Coach Training for Skate Canada Coaches
- Are you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach for Special Olympics?
- Do you work with skaters with disabilities in your home club?
- Are you are interested in learning more about working with skaters with intellectual disabilities?
- Would you like to learn how the skaters are integrated into the Skate AB NT NU Star assessment and competition calendar?
This session is being offered in partnership with Special Olympics Alberta, and Skate AB NT NU.
This session is FREE OF CHARGE for Section coaches, but you must register to guarantee your spot. Participants MUST be a minimum of 16 years old.
This session will focus on working with people aged pre-school to adult.
All Skate Canada coaches are welcome – no pre-requisites in terms of coaching levels – but you must have an NCCP number (all levels of coach welcome). At the end of the training, participants will have NCCP Community Level (entrance level) certification for Special Olympics.
