COVID Hero Awards Recognition
Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nunavut wishes to recognize the many skaters, coaches, officials and volunteers whose incredible efforts at the Club, Region and Section levels made skating, in its various forms, possible this season.
A club/skating school may submit up to 5 nominations to be recognized.
Deadline for nominations – March 15, 2021 at midnight
Volunteer Coach Award
This award will be given to a professional coach who has contributed to the coaching community through volunteer efforts at the Club, Region, Section or National level. The focus of this award is on volunteer contributions made by professional coaches to the sport of figure skating.
Section Coach Achievement Award
This award recognizes the dedication and achievements of Skate Canada coaches within the Section. The recipient will be selected for their unique and outstanding contributions to their club, athletes and the Section.

25 & 50 Year Service Award
Recognizes those coaches who have contributed 25 and 50 years of service to the sport of figure skating.

National Awards – Coaches
CompetitiveCoach/Choreographer Award of Excellence
The purpose of the Skate Canada Competitive Coach/Choreographer Award of Excellence is to recognize the dedication and achievements of the coach/choreographer in this category. The recipient will be selected based on his/her outstanding contributions to our sport and the well-being of athletes participating in competitive figure skating.
Note: This award is not accepting nominations for the 2020-2021 season.
Club Coach Award of Excellence
The purpose of the following Skate Canada Coach Award of Excellence is to recognize dedication and success in coaching at the grassroots level. The recipient will be selected based on his/her outstanding contributions to our sport within the skating community and to the well-being of athletes participating in Skate Canada programming, specifically in the Learn to Skate, Learn to Train and Active for Life, Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) stages.
Note: This award is not accepting nominations for the 2020-2021 season.
