2019 Challenge Volunteer Recognition Program
The Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Section is proud to support the volunteers of the 2019 Skate Canada Challenge through our “Challenge Volunteer Recognition Program”. Volunteers that contribute a minimum of 10 volunteer hours may select to allocate their volunteer credits to one of the following areas:
- Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Club or Skating School
- Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Skater
- Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Synchronized Skating Team
- Section Athlete Endowment Fund
- No preference
The amount of volunteer credits that will be provided per hour will be determined once the volunteer sign-up has been completed for the event. Questions regarding this volunteer program may be directed to Abby Kozma at events@skateabnwtnun.ca
Volunteer Today
Skate Canada Events are a fantastic way to build your volunteer portfolio and gain experience working at national and international sporting events. Skate Canada event volunteers will fill a variety of roles both on and off the ice helping to create a memorable experience for event participants.

Volunteer Opportunities- English
Local Organizing Committee (LOC)
The Organizing Committee (OC) is led by Skate Canada staff and Skate Canada – Alberta Section volunteers. A Local Organizing Committee (LOC) consisting of volunteer supervisors and coordinators has been established. Skate Canada staff, in conjunction with the LOC, will execute the event and assist in recruiting volunteers for the various functions that will form the entire volunteer team. A target number of 200 volunteers will be recruited for this prestigious event.
