Athlete Development is accepting applications for skaters to audition for the 2021 Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nun Junior Development Team (“JDT”).
Due to Covid-19, the team selection process has been revised this season as follows…
The JDT is comprised of athletes from the following categories:
- Pre-Juvenile U11 Women and Men
- Pre-Juvenile Pair
- Pre-Juvenile Dance
- Juvenile U12 Women and Men
- Juvenile Pair
- Juvenile Dance
- Juvenile U14 Women and Men
- Pre-Novice Women and Men
To apply to submit an audition video, eligible Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile skaters must meet the requirements as listed in the criteria document. Please review the minimum requirements for each category prior to submitting an application to audition.
Once an application has been submitted, skaters and coaches will receive further detailed instructions about the video process.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Any skater who competed in the 2021 Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Sectionals in the Pre-Novice category is NOT eligible to apply to submit videos in the Pre-Juvenile or Juvenile categories.
- All successful video applicants as well as the Pre-Novice skaters who qualified through Sectionals, will be notified by May 5, 2021.
- Skaters applying to submit a video must have achieved a minimum of the STAR 5 freeskate assessment.
