Coach Education On-Line Video Library

Free online workshops are now available! Topics include the NEW STAR 1-5, Jump Technique, Edges & Turns, Sport Science and more.

There are two ways to access the workshops:

  • Skate Canada’s Education and Training Academy: To access workshops located here and to receive recognition for professional development, go to skatecanada.ca, click on ‘Members’ in the top left corner of the main page, sign in and proceed to the eLearning tab on the toolbar.
  • National Performance Centre: To access workshops located here, go to npc.skatecanada.ca. For English workshops, go to the Toronto location, make an account or sign in and proceed to the NEWS tab. Some video albums will be located in the archived files.

Completion of the NPC workshops does qualify for professional development points and may be used towards your maintenance of NCCP certification with the CAC and Skate Canada. Please keep track of these activities in your personal files.

Program Component Webinar

ISU Level Official Beth Crane delivered an interactive session to a small group of judges to review some of the key concepts covered this summer during the ISU PC Seminar in Frankfurt. This video is meant to be used as a source of continuing education for all Skate Canada coaches (applicable to all levels and all disciplines). The webinar raised valuable thoughts and perspectives when assigning PC scores.
